TxVSN: Our Providers Minimize
 

PROVIDER PAGE INFORMATION


Texas Education Code Chapter 30A, Sec. 30A.001 defines a “Provider school district or school” as a:

  • school district or open-enrollment charter school
  • public or private institution of higher education
  • education service center

Each Provider can and does operate independently. If a Receiver district is interested in utilizing allotment funds to cover course costs, they must access Provider courses through TxVSN in order to do so.


HIGH SCHOOL COURSE PROVIDERS

Alief Independent School District is located near Houston, TX. Course offerings include the social studies content area, as well as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Economics course.

Amarillo Independent School District is located in west Texas. Driver Education courses are available with continuous enrollment across a semester.

ESC Region 6 located in Huntsville, Texas, is one of the 20 education service centers in Texas.  Driver and Safety Education courses are available with continuous enrollment dates across a semester.

ESC Region 12 located in Waco, Texas, is one of the 20 education service centers in Texas. It is partnering with K12 Inc to provide high schools courses to the TxVSN. ESC Region 12 offerings include foundation, foreign language, and advanced placement courses.

Mansfield ISD, located near the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, has course offerings including foundation courses following both a traditional semester schedule and continuous enrollment option.

Minerals Wells ISD first utilized the TxVSN courses to expand its own (4A) high school course offerings. By leveraging a Vision 2020 grant,  it soon expanded into the provider role.

Pasadena ISD Virtual School is located southeast of Houston, TX. Courses follow an accelerated pace. For additional information, click on the following link: http://www.pasadenaisd.org/it/pvs/PVS_Tour/home.htm .

Plano ISD, located north of Dallas, TX, offers foundation and elective courses following a traditional semester schedule.

SUPERNet Consortium (District Collaborative) is a consortium linking school districts all over East Texas. SUPERNet courses follow both a traditional semester schedule, as well as continuous enrollment option.

Texas Virtual School (ESC Collaborative), is an education service center collaborative housed at Region 4 in Houston, TX. Courses follow a semester schedule similar to most schools. For additional information, click on the following link:
