2009 - 2010

  • April 2010 - Course Review has approved a sufficient amount of courses to meet the 2010-2011 Recommended Graduation Credit Requirements
  • February 2010 -  508 Compliance and Accessibility Committee established
  • December 2009 - Course Review Automation System programming began Fall of 2009 TxVSN began offering Dual Credit courses from a pilot group of colleges and universities

2008 - 2009

  • August 2009 - Dual Credit pilot begins
  • January 2009 - TxVSN began providing approved electronic courses for grades nine through twelve
  • Course Review contintues to review courses from various providers

2008

  • A list of the initial approved course offerings were made available via the TxVSN Course Catalog in fall
  • Reviewers evaluated for 100% alignment with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and for meeting the criteria set forth in the National Standards for Quality of Online Courses endorsed by the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (www.inacol.org)
  • During the summer the first round of online courses for grades nine through twelve were reviewed for inclusion in the network.
